Pamela Anderson appears to be having a bit of a rebirth at this point in her career. Confident enough in her own skin to start a bit of a new beauty revolution, critically acclaimed and award-nominated for her role in last year's 'The Last Showgirl' and potentially having a new love interest in her 'Naked Gun' costar Liam Neeson all have friends and fans cheering for Anderson. She and Neeson have not confirmed that they are romantically involved, but their chemistry while on the promotion tour for their new film has stirred plenty of speculation. Even fellow celebs seem invested, with 'Showgirl' costar Jamie Lee Curtis defending whatever is going on between Anderson and Neeson. 'With all due respect to pop culture, if love has found (its) way into that relationship—God bless them both—leave them the f**k alone,' Curtis told VT in a recently published clip. 'Let them like each other!' The support for Anderson is long overdue, given her treatment in the past. 'I couldn't really envision who was right for the role of Shelly,' Coppola reportedly said during a post screening Q&A. 'I kind of would think of Marilyn Monroe or actors that were no longer present, no one else really felt right.' Anderson's documentary showed so many parallels between the actress and the character the director wanted to bring to life, Coppola said at the time. 'I just really wanted to collaborate with her,' she added. 'I could see her hunger to kind of express her talents in a dramatic way.' Anderson's vulnerable performance not only earned her acclaim, but also Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations along with considerable Oscar buzz. Despite that buzz, Anderson was not ultimately nominated for an Academy Award, something she seemed at peace about. 'I always say the win is in the work,' Anderson told Elle of the Oscars snub. Liam Neeson is no stranger to press tours. He has been acting for more than 50 years and the current press tour he is on for The Naked Gun - featuring Pamela Anderson - is just one of many he has tackled throughout his career. And while the actor, 73, may be familiar with the interview style of a press tour, it's clear that he is not familiar with Labubus. What do the two have to do with each other? Well, a Metro reporter recently decided to ask the acclaimed star about the furry trend in the middle of an interview about his upcoming film. During a segment of INTERROBAIT, reporter Zac Haniff turned around his notepad and showed Liam a picture of a Labubu, asking him if he knew what it was. 'Haven't a clue,' he responded. 'No. Seriously, I don't know.' 'It's a fluffy doll? Or can you eat it?' he asked. Zac then went on to explain the fervor surrounding the toy and how people have even fought over them - eventually admitting that he himself owns a pink one. 'Doesn't surprise me,' Liam said. 'I've never heard of them. No!' Liam was then shown a picture of a Lafufu and the star guessed that it was 'an early drawing of E.T.' When Zac explained that it was a Labubu without the hair, Liam awkwardly responded, 'And without the genitals.' The reporter laughed it off but Liam's fans online were less entertained. 'Why do actors have to deal with this nonsense? Are there real reporters or interviewers anymore?' one user asked on X (formerly Twitter). 'Press tour interviews where they try to manufacture viral moments or the interview is a cringe try hard who clearly wants to be friends with the actors need to stop,' another added. 'Back in my day, they'd ask the actors questions about the movie on the press tour,' another shared. Fans slammed the reporter for the question, blaming it on 'the influencer era' and reporters vying for a viral moment Some fans blamed the rise of influencers and viral moments for the uncomfortable exchange. 'The influencer era and its consequences has been devastating for society. Sports. Movies. You can't escape their wrath and poison,' one fervently said. But some users pushed back, saying that this interview style is not new or shocking. 'Celebrities have been asked about dumb s**t for as long as celebrities have existed,' a fan said. 'Agree, but I also think this is really funny,' another fan said in regard to the backlash. 'Harmlessly reacting to a trend, rather than actually derailing things.' Pamela Anderson breaks silence on Meghan Markle's 'rip off' Netflix cooking show
Pamela Anderson has finally spoken out on viral claims Meghan Markle 'ripped off' her cooking show with Netflix series, With Love, Meghan. Fans of the Baywatch bombshell, 58, were left incensed when the former working Royal, 44, debuted her latest TV venture - which bore eerie similarities to Pamela's Cooking With Love, which premiered earlier this year on Prime Video. The Naked Gun star Anderson opened up on Sunday's Watch What Happens Live! with host Andy Cohen asking her: 'On a scale from one to 10, how much of a rip-off did you feel like With Love, Meghan was of your show, Pamela's Cooking with Love?' Anderson, who was appearing alongside new love and co-star Liam Neeson responded: 'One. I didn't - I didn't really look, but I mean, I didn't invent cooking shows' adding that Markle 'is just doing her thing.' The drama erupted when Prince Harry 's wife gave People magazine some of her top domestic tips ahead of the release of With Love, Meghan, in March. These included how to 'elevate' a normal dinner – such as after ordering a takeaway. Citing Chinese as a favorite delivery option, Markle told the US magazine: 'I like being able to do a hybrid, but even when I get a takeout I will try to plate it beautifully.' And discussing her new trademark As Ever – after she failed to secure copyright branding for her original name, American Riviera Orchard – she insisted: 'It's a learning curve. 'I appreciate everyone who gave me the grace to make mistakes and figure it out and also be forgiving with myself through that.' The two former TV stars live more than a thousand miles apart, yet both were smiling and giggling in brightly lit country kitchens, filming aspirational cooking with photogenic friends and famous celebrities. Both are seen carrying wicker baskets of fruit and vegetables picked from their gardens, dancing with joy, and gleefully high-fiving their celebrity guests. Both series are even the same length: eight episodes. When Meghan's first episode was shown, it prompted withering complaints that she had copied Pamela's winning formula. 'So similar it's freaky,' said one reviewer, while others branded Meghan's series 'inauthentic' and 'copycat'. More charitable observers might put this down to coincidence, as neither show seems to deviate from the wholesome template of many an aspirational cookery program. However, while Markle filmed her series last summer, with the first trailer making its debut in January, Anderson's was commissioned back in February 2023 by Canadian broadcaster Flavour Network. And its trailer has been available for all to see since last October. Last month it was claimed Markle and Prince Harry's hopes of a new Netflix deal are 'dead' after their two most recent shows flopped, Meghan's lifestyle show failed to break into Netflix 's top 300 programs for the first half of 2025 and was even thrashed by multiple seasons of Suits. A second season of With Love, Meghan, was announced by the Duchess herself as the first season came out in March this year as part of the couple's $100million deal with the streaming giant, which expires this year
